Thank you for visiting our blog. The Richardsons are a family of five planning to move to Togo, West Africa in a couple of years. First, we need to visit Togo and see the work going on there. To take our family there, we need to raise quite a bit of money. Please check our fundraising page for more info. We have $1000 raised so far.
As far as family news, Ryan is taking a class next week on conflict and change in church. He has learned that his first impulses in conflict are to accommodate to others or to work for collaboration. Should be interesting to see how this plays out in a mission team setting.
Beth continues to homeschool six year old Katie. It is quite a challenge with a three year old and 7 month old, but she is adapting all the time and doing a great job!
Please pray for Jonah, (Ryan’s favorite picture with him to the left. He’s three now.) as he is having a mole removed off his back on Monday. They will have to “knock him out” to do this procedure, so it is worrisome to his parents.
We’re looking forward to Together for Togo in April (3-5), in Montgomery, AL. If you’re interested in hearing more about it, please let us know.
To close, I’ll give you a link from David Watson who has helped the Togo team think through leadership development. I think his ideas need to be strongly considered in American churches as well.

Hey Ryan! We’ll be praying for Jonah’s surgery to go well and for peace for you and Beth. Hannah had oral surgery the last time we were in the states and was under general anesthesia, too. Praying for you guys as I know the anxiety that comes with that. The class you’re taking sounds very interesting! Let us know what you learn from it! Blessings to you guys!
Prayers and blessing for your family as you pursue all of this, Ryan.
How did Jonah’s surgery go? I’ve been thinking of you guys this week.
Hmm, Ryan, you accomodate and work for collaborations? What a surprise…
